Gov. Matt Mead Wants Less Education Spending
Gov. Matt Mead wants less education spending in Wyoming. To the tune of $66 million less! The number will be less from the state and therefor, the counties will have to pick up the slack and put their money in.
The state Department of Education school finance received $1.83 billion the last time around. This time it is proposed to be at $1.76 billion. So they might receive less but still will get a huge amount.
Will this happen? Just wait for the legislative session next year and we shall see.
