Is a Resident Agent a Registered Agent?

By Angelica Espinoza on Mar 30 in Wyoming Incorporation.

Every state requires you to have an appointed entity to accept legal notices if you own an llc or corporation. Not all states call this person or company a registered agent, most do, though. Some states call the registered agent a resident agent, others a statutory agent. Some even call the position an agent for service of process, essentially that is all the registered agent is.
