Wyoming Charity

By Angelica Espinoza on Dec 07 in Wyoming Money.

Wyoming Charity

Wyoming Charity.  The finance website WalletHub ranked Wyoming the fourth most charitable state in the nation.  Only Utah was ranked higher by our neighboring states.  With the least amount of people in any state, you can take this news how you want.

States were not just scored on donations but also on volunteering.  Wyoming’s rank was boosted by the percentage of donated income.  The city of Casper ranked #1 in Wyoming charity giving.According to IRS data, Wyoming residents donate just under $1000 per year.

Grants in Wyoming are a big equation in the data.  According to Philanthropy Northwest, grants in 2016 totaled $57 million.  Charitable giving was ranked the highest in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.  That is no shock considering the amount of 1% income earners that live or have a house in Jackson Hole that give to special interests groups.

Whether you are loaded and throw money where you wish or you are an average person just trying to help local humanity…Wyoming charity is alive and well.
